The purpose of tracking the number and click-through rates of a page is to provide valuable insights into how your users use your pages and how they consume content.
The click-to-read rate is an average number of times your users click through to your page.

The number of clicks that users make on your page(s)2.
The average number that visitors make to your pages per visit (e.g. “5 clicks”)3.
The percentage of visitors who click on your pages on average per visit4.
The total number of visitors that visit your page per visit(e.s.)
Here is how to do this with Google Analytics.
First, you’ll need to install Google Adsense.
Follow the steps below to create a new Google Ad Group for your site.
Next, create a custom Google Analytics account.
You can use your Google Account to log in with your Google account, but you can create a Google Account for a single site or group of sites.
Create a new account by clicking on the “New Account” button.
Enter your Google AdGroup name and click “Create New Ad Group”.
After creating your AdGroup, click “Apply” to add the account to your Google accounts.
Next you’ll have to set your account settings.
Here are some important notes:1) Select “AdSense” from the drop-down menu on the left and select the “Custom Ad Group” option.2) Click “Save” to save your settings.
After you have saved your settings, click on the blue “Close” button to close your account.
Now that you have a custom AdGroup set up, you can use AdSense and Google AdShield to promote Google Ad Pages and link to your content.
Google Adshield is available for Google Advertisers and is not available for all publishers.1.

Add a Google AdToken3.
Click “Apply”, followed by “Create Ad Group”, then click “Save”.
Next, add the AdToken and click on “Apply”.1.
Enter a custom name and type it into the text box.
Click the green “Submit” button and the AdGroup will be created and you can add your Google Ads or Google Ad Shield ad tags.3.
Add the page URL that you’d like to link to.4.
Click on “Submit”.5.
After your Ad Group is set up and you’re ready to link your content to Google Ads, click the blue button “Link to Ad” to link the page to Google Ad.6.
After you’ve linked your page, click that green “Close button”.
If you are using AdShield and you are not using Google AdExchange, you will have to configure AdShield with AdExchanges.
If you are on AdExcus you will only be able to link with Google Ads.1) Create a new AdGroup.
Click ‘Create’ to create the Ad Group.2: Choose “AdExchange”.3: Enter the URL for your AdEx Exchange account and click ‘Create’.4: Enter your AdToken.5: Click ‘Apply’ to add your AdChain.6: Click “Submit.”
The AdChain will now be created in AdExchangers AdChain Manager.
If you have already set up AdChain and are using Google Analytics, you need to update your Google Accounts settings.1.)

Select your AdBlock settings.3.)
Scroll down to the AdBlock section and click the “Settings” link at the bottom of the page.4.)
Select AdBlock from the list of settings, and click it to update Google AdBlock.
Now, if you are doing AdExemption or GoogleAdExchanges and want to link directly to your site, you must edit the Google Analytics settings.
First you will need to change the GoogleAdBlock value for AdExchanging and GoogleAdShield to the value for your GoogleAdChain.
This value is set to 1 and is the value of your Ad Exchanges AdChain account.
The values you set in AdChain are set to the values of your GoogleAccount account.
Once you’ve changed your Ad Block values, click a link in the Ad Block section and you will be redirected to your Ad Exchange page.
Next we need to set the Google Ad Block settings for AdShield.
Go to AdShield settings.
Select your AdAdBlock settings and then click on ‘Settings’ to edit the settings.
