Chelsea are expected to complete a £50million deal for Real Madrid’s young Spanish winger Alvaros Morata.
Chelsea have had a £100million bid for the 25-year-old rejected, but have made an offer for a higher price.
Alvaros, who is the youngest player to ever play in the Premier League, has scored 14 goals in 34 appearances this season and made his debut in April 2016.
The defender was linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but Real have been frustrated with the player’s form and the Blues are desperate to sign him.
Chelsea’s interest in Morata is understood to have been triggered by Chelsea’s inability to agree a fee with Real and they are willing to pay a premium for the player.
Chelsea are not expected to sell for less than the £50m price Real paid to sign Morata and are now hoping to make a move for Morata before the transfer window closes on Friday.
Real’s interest comes after a £30m bid was rejected by Chelsea and Chelsea are now expected to bid around £30million for Morats £60m move to Stamford Bridge.
