Breitbart News Editor in Chief and senior writer Milo Yiannopoulos has declared war on Twitter, claiming that its users are the enemy.
Yiannopoulos, who previously served as Senior Vice President of Social Media for Breitbart News, tweeted on Wednesday that “the enemies of free speech” were being exposed for their “evil intentions” by Twitter users.
He said, “The enemies of freedom on Twitter are the ones who use it for evil purposes: to destroy the free speech movement.”
“They’re the ones attacking the people who put out the free and open source code for the platforms they’re using,” he said.
“They are the enemies of the free press.
The enemies of any free press,” he added.
Yiannopoulous wrote that Twitter was an “enemy of free expression” and urged users to “fight back.”
“Stop using your own platform to attack the people that created the platform.
Stop using Twitter to silence your critics,” he wrote.”
Twitter is a platform for free expression, and you must stand up against the enemy of free media.
You must fight back against the bullies who use Twitter to censor, silence, harass, and otherwise destroy free speech.
Yiannopoulos previously served for six months in a top-secret government job in 2016, after which he was stripped of his security clearance.
He is now an executive producer on Fox News.
